  聚氨酯材料是現(xiàn)代塑料工業(yè)中發(fā)展最快的品種之一,廣泛用于工業(yè)、醫(yī)療、建筑和汽車等領(lǐng)域,由此帶來(lái)了廢棄物污染環(huán)境等問(wèn)題。這類降解成本高且易產(chǎn)生二次污染,而更為環(huán)保的生物降解一直是全球塑料污染研究的難點(diǎn)。

  研究指出,在“塔賓曲霉菌”作用下,原本在自然環(huán)境中難以降解的塑料,兩周就可以明顯看到生物降解過(guò)程,兩個(gè)月后其培養(yǎng)基上的塑料聚合物基本消失。

  未來(lái),科研人員將逐步確定這一真菌大規(guī)模快速繁殖和塑料生物降解的理想條件,為產(chǎn)業(yè)化利用真菌降解塑料垃圾、治理塑料垃圾污染奠定基礎(chǔ)。

中科院科學(xué)家近日在塑料生物降解領(lǐng)域取得重大突破:研究人員首次發(fā)現(xiàn)能夠高效降解聚氨酯塑料的新菌種——塔賓曲霉菌,該真菌有望成為未來(lái)治理白色污染的“利器”。這項(xiàng)成果已發(fā)表在國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊《環(huán)境污染》上。
 
聚氨酯材料是現(xiàn)代塑料工業(yè)中發(fā)展最快的品種之一,廣泛用于工業(yè)、醫(yī)療、建筑和汽車等領(lǐng)域。
 
“聚氨酯的快速發(fā)展帶來(lái)了其廢棄物污染環(huán)境等問(wèn)題。”據(jù)論文通訊作者、項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人中科院昆明植物研究所研究員許建初介紹,目前聚氨酯材料的化學(xué)降解主要包括水解、熱降解、光降解等,但這類降解成本高且易產(chǎn)生二次污染,而更為環(huán)保的生物降解一直是全球塑料污染研究的難點(diǎn)。
 
“真菌的生物降解是治理合成塑料污染的重要途徑,”許建初指出,全球科學(xué)家在上世紀(jì)90年代就開(kāi)始研究塑料生物降解,先后發(fā)現(xiàn)了幾十種降解塑料的真菌,但由于其降解效率低、降解不徹底而作罷。
 
此次中科院研究組從城市垃圾中分離出的用于降解塑料的新型真菌,被鑒定命名為“塔賓曲霉菌”。實(shí)驗(yàn)室研究發(fā)現(xiàn),它可以在聚氨酯表面生長(zhǎng),并通過(guò)生長(zhǎng)過(guò)程中產(chǎn)生的酶和塑料發(fā)生生物反應(yīng),破壞塑料分子間或聚合物間的化學(xué)鍵;同時(shí),這一真菌還利用了其菌絲的物理強(qiáng)度,幫助“掰開(kāi)”塑料聚合物。
 
研究指出,在“塔賓曲霉菌”作用下,原本在自然環(huán)境中難以降解的塑料,兩周就可以明顯看到生物降解過(guò)程,兩個(gè)月后其培養(yǎng)基上的塑料聚合物基本消失。“當(dāng)然其降解效率還受到多種環(huán)境因素影響,包括酸堿度、溫度以及所使用的培養(yǎng)基類型,”許建初說(shuō)。
 
許建初指出:“未來(lái),科研人員將逐步確定這一真菌大規(guī)?焖俜敝澈退芰仙锝到獾睦硐霔l件,為產(chǎn)業(yè)化利用真菌降解塑料垃圾、治理塑料垃圾污染奠定基礎(chǔ)。”
