Wang Fuming, born in March 1957, from Shenqiu County, Henan Province, is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Sun Yat-sen University/Zhengzhou University.
 
In 1987, he received a doctorate in engineering from Dalian Institute of Technology, and in 1996, he was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In 2008, he was named "Central Plains Scholar". In 2015, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has long been engaged in the theoretical and technical research on the safety maintenance of basic engineering facilities. He has achieved systematic innovations in the prevention and treatment of leakage and inflow of basic engineering and the diagnosis and treatment of hidden diseases.
