國家杰出青年基金項目獲得者。現(xiàn)任中國科學院生態(tài)環(huán)境研究中心研究員,城市與區(qū)域生態(tài)國家重點實驗室主任。1985年于北京大學地理學系獲理學學士學位,1988年于中國科學院地理研究所獲地圖學碩士學位, 1997年在荷蘭國際地球資源學院(ITC)獲應用地貌學與工程地質(zhì)學碩士學位, 2002年3月于中國科學院研究生院獲生態(tài)學博士學位。目前兼任中國生態(tài)學會副理事長、《生態(tài)學報》和《應用生態(tài)學報》副主編。自工作以來,先后承擔完成了國家重點研發(fā)計劃項目、國家自然科學基金委重大項目課題、重點項目和中國科學院創(chuàng)新方向性項目等30余項;在國內(nèi)外核心刊物上發(fā)表學術論文400余篇,其中SCI刊物上發(fā)表200余篇;出版專著11部。獲得國家自然科學二等獎2項、省部委科技獎7項和中國科學院杰出科技成就獎(2016)。
